Aanii
Aanii Parents, Grandparents and Guardians,
My name is Illamarie Proulx, and our students know me as Ms. Illa. I am a Wiikwemikoong band member, a strong advocator for students, and a person who believes in our community, our traditions, and traditional medicines. Most importantly, I take great pride in knowing I have a positive impact on student learning and achievements because helping students learn is truly my passion.
I have been working as an Educational Assistant (EA) for our WBE for ten years now. In addition, I am happy to announce that I have my Developmental Services Worker (DSW) diploma from Cambrian College (Sudbury) and graduated with a 4.0 average. I also received awards for “Support and Honorable Contributions, High Productivity in School Work, and Principal’s Award for Student Leadership”.
With my educational background, over twenty-five years of life and work experience, patience, and enthusiasm, I will do my very best to help every student I work with reach their full potential.
I feel very privileged to be able to live and work in Wiikwemikoong, and I look forward to continuing my passion for student learning now and into the future.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Ms. Illa
