Parent Council

Aanii WHS Parents/Guardians!

 

The Wikwemikong High School Parent Council was re-established in the 2022-2023 school year and is in its 4th consecutive year of operation. Our mission is to increase positive parental involvement in the school community through collaboration, consultation, and ongoing work with our community partners. Our Parent Council chair, Ms. Tia Peltier, is currently in her third term. She has spearheaded promotional activities in the school during parents nights, school events, and has planned/implemented the WHS Prom, which will take place for a third time this year.

 

Our parent council is actively recruiting to add to the existing panel and is hopeful to gain parents/volunteers from the Warrior community for this years prom (June 12, 2026).

 

Currently the council has 7 active parents and 4 active staff members, including the Principal, Vice Principal, one Teacher from the secondary panel, and one designate from mental health (Mino Bimaadziwin).
